A wishlist works best as a living set of choices

A wishlist is not a fixed order form. It is a short explanation of what would be useful while leaving guests room to choose. The most helpful entries include a purpose, one essential constraint and an indication of whether alternatives are welcome.

Keep the list current

Remove items that were bought elsewhere, update sizes and replace links that no longer match the wish. Mix price ranges so the list does not silently impose one budget.
