Browser block puzzle troubleshooting decision sheet
Browser block puzzle: a troubleshooting decision sheet
Prepared on behalf of blockblast.co, an unofficial fan site with an independently made web game. Reviewed 22 October 2026.
The block snaps back
Check the entire shape against the occupied cells and board edges. A valid drop requires every occupied cell of the piece to fit, in the displayed orientation. Dragging over an invalid location does not earn points. On the browser puzzle, use the placement preview and highlighted line clears to inspect the target before releasing.
Plenty of empty cells, but no square fits
Count width and height in a single contiguous area. A three-by-three square requires nine cells arranged as that square. Nine isolated empty cells do not provide a legal position. Inspect the exact footprint a clear could open before placing a convenient small block in that area.
One piece seems impossible
Look at the other remaining pieces. A small placement can finish a row or column and make the difficult piece fit. Consider the full three-piece order. If no remaining block fits, this web game offers one revive per run; another no-fit state after that ends the game. A revive resets the combo and does not award line-clear points.
A run did not return after reloading
Saved progress belongs to the local browser. Another device or browser does not share it. Cleared site data, unavailable storage or an incompatible old save can prevent restoration. Keep a screenshot or written note of a position you want to study rather than treating local storage as a shared account.
For a crowded position, enter the cells and remaining pieces manually in the placement helper. Verify the input before following a suggestion. This helper does not predict the next tray or calculate game scores. The original Hungry Studio app is a separate product with separate scoring and progress.
